Lists

Unlike tags, lists are meant to bundle different types of links together for one topic rather than directly categorize them. For example, the open-source tag categorizes all links of open source projects and the macos tag categorizes all links for neat macOS apps. An Open Source macOS Apps list may contain links to your favorite open source macOS applications, while both used tags are not directly related.

Lists Overview

The list overview provides a list of all lists with their name, description, and link count displayed. You can sort lists by name, creation date, or link count to find what you’re looking for.

Lists Details

The list detail page gives a quick overview of the links added for a particular list, serving as an alternative to the advanced search. The table containing the assigned links can be sorted by clicking the sorting symbol in the header row of the table.

Adding Lists

Lists can be added in two ways:

  • Through the menu — Use the dedicated form accessible from the menu to create a list
  • Directly in the link add form — Add lists while creating or editing a link

When using the dedicated form from the menu, you have an additional option for making a list private. Private lists will only be displayed to you.

Important: List titles cannot contain commas.

Privacy Levels for Lists

Like links and tags, lists support three privacy levels:

  • Public — Visible to anyone with access to your LinkAce, including guests if Guest Mode is enabled
  • Internal — Only visible to logged-in users (not guests)
  • Private — Only visible to you
